What This Man In Maine Did In The Wake Of Trump's Travel Ban Will Terrify You

Police were summoned to the Super 8 Motel in Westbrook, Maine on reports of suspicious activity in the parking lot. The suspicious activity wasn’t relegated to the parking lot, and the officers would do a little poking around before making a shocking discovery in one of the motel rooms. As WMTW reports, a 16-year-old girl had been sexually assaulted by three male teenagers.

A disturbance in the motel parking lot early on a Sunday morning got someone’s attention, and officers from the Westbrook Police Department were soon on the scene. Thankfully, the officer’s suspicions were further raised when they arrived on the scene, and they decided to further investigate exactly what was going on. That led them to the room the victim was in, and she eventually explained what had happened to her at the hands of the three suspects.

"Sometimes you get lucky. You get called to the right place at the right time, and our officers did a good job of using street experience to do what they typically do and give that victim the space to let the officers know what's going on," said Capt. Steven Goldberg.

The suspects, 19-year-old Garang Majok and two juveniles, ages 16 and 15, were arrested soon thereafter. Majok was transported to the Cumberland County Jail, while the pair of juveniles were hauled off to the Long Creek Youth Development Center.

Investigators are still trying to determine what led the girl to be in the motel with the three males, but they have ruled out human trafficking thus far, as well as the possibility that she became acquainted with them online. There’s no word on how the victim knew the suspects, or how she possibly ended up alone in a motel room with all three of them. Many questions remain unanswered, including whether the pair of juveniles will be charged as adults for the disturbing sexual assault.
