A 17-year-old boy in Georgia saw an opportunity to make the world a better place, so he stepped up to the plate. The act of kindness brought tears to the eyes of the teenager’s aunt.
The aunt, Connie Belle Jenkins Sweet, said that she was Dollar General in Griffin, Georgia this weekend with her nephew, Senquavious Driver. However, as they were heading out the door, the young man spotted an elderly woman who needed help.
"We were about to pull off and leave when she was trying to get out of her car, but she was struggling to get on the sidewalk," Sweet commented. "She barely could walk."
Sweet explained that the elderly woman tripped almost fell, and that's when Driver spoke up and said the lady needed some help. He just jumped out of the vehicle and went over to the woman.
"He helped her in the store and shopped with her and he walked her back out to her car," Sweet remarked. "She was only going in for a soda, but she barely could even get in the store."
The grateful 81-year-old woman told the Good Samaritan she had taken a fall a few days ago, leaving her very stiff in her back, shoulders and face.
"I was in tears taking pictures because he didn't hesitate to help her, and that made my heart happy," Sweet noted. "I'm so proud of him because I know and love the lady that raised him, my sissy."
Sweet also reports the elderly stranger was very appreciative and thanked Driver for his efforts several times.
