People Are Baffled No Legal Action Has Been Taken After This Worker Ignored All Warning Signs (Video)

A video making the rounds has led to some seriously red faces for executives of cable TV giant Comcast Xfinity, as well as a bunch of peeved drivers that may have been involved in car crashes as a result of carelessness on the part of the company’s repair workers. As AWM shares, the video shows a repair truck that has blocked off a portion of the road during icy conditions to do some repair work, but it certainly doesn’t look like proper safety protocols were followed.

For starters, the repair work was taking place in the middle of a storm on a road that looked like it was a sheet of ice. As a general protocol, most repair crews will set out a flag waver or some other sort of notification to alert approaching motorists that they need to proceed with caution - and that here may be a slight delay. That delay would happen because another worker was doing his best to wave people through safely. None of that took place, and we see a truck with a few cones around it.

Unsuspecting motorists slid off the road, and in some cases crashed. The video has been posted on YouTube.

“He blew me off because he “had a job to do”. Minutes later there was a crash because of the blocked lane,” the YouTuber noted.

The corporate offices of Comcast were contacted directly about the incident, and that prompted the release of a statement.

“We are actively investigating what happened when our technicians were on site to restore services during an outage and we will reach out to those who were impacted by this incident,” the statement read in part.
