Neighbors Are Alarmed At The Hysterical Crying Next Door, Cops Come To The Rescue

Some neighbors were concerned. The elderly couple next door seemed to be crying hysterically, and no one knew what was going on. Police rushed to see if the couple was in danger, and couldn't believe what they found. They went above and beyond the call of duty to help the couple.

The police in Italy were summoned to the home of 94-year-old Michele and 84-year-old Jole. The neighbors heard wailing emanating from inside the home and thought there had been a terrible accident or tragedy.

The couple, who had been married for an astounding 70 years, told the police they had been crying because of what they saw on the evening news. They said they were watching the news as usual, and became very upset about the way people treat each other in the world. This caused them both to break down into tears.

The officers visited with the elderly couple for a bit and discovered that the two were living alone and had no one coming in to check on them. The poor couple were very lonely.

It didn't look as though Michele and Jole had eaten anytime recently, so police asked when was the last time they had a meal. They said they hadn't eaten a decent meal in a while.

Police called an EMT to give the couple a quick check-up. They waited with the couple for the ambulance to arrive, and while they waited, the officers cooked a pasta dinner for Michele and Jole.

The old man and woman were extremely grateful, not just for the food but for some comfort, company, and care. They cried again, this time tears of joy because their faith in humanity had been restored.

It doesn’t take much to touch someone and make a difference. In this case, all it took was a little spaghetti, butter, cheese and the willingness to be there for a little while. Michele and Jole were in much brighter spirits by the end of the night, thanks to the compassionate officers.
