Richard "Mack" Machowicz, star of the hit Discovery channel show "Future Weapons" has passed away at the age of 51. As Business Insider reports, Machowicz succumbed to his lengthy battle with brain cancer.
The former US Navy Seal was diagnosed with Stage 4 brain cancer back in 2015, but he put up a brave fight and never gave up - as you would expect from a man whose company Facebook page is NDCQ, or "Not Dead, Can't Quit."
"I refuse to give up on myself and what I'm capable of doing," he remarked last year.
Machowicz served as a Seal for a decade before transitioning over to life on the small screen. In addition to ‘Weapons,’ he also hosted Spike TV's "Deadliest Warrior," as well as number of other programs on the Military Channel and History Channel.
News of his death was first reported by close friend Craig Sawyer, also a former Seal, and the tributes have continued to pour in. Brandon Webb, another former Seal, posted that Machowicz offered "nearly fifty-two years of living by example." Machowicz is survived by his wife and two young daughters.
