Man Eats All His Adult Children's Brownies - Soon Learns They Contained More Than Chocalate

A man in Omaha, Nebraska who ate four marijuana brownies by mistake says he felt like he was “trippin’.”

According to local media sources, Omaha police were called to a home last Tuesday evening to investigate the possibility of an accidental overdose. When they arrived on the scene, they were told that a 53-year-old man had been unloading groceries from the backseat of his car that his adult children had used earlier in the day when he found a bag with four brownies.

The man was apparently hungry because he ate all four brownies.

According to the man’s wife, as she and her husband were watching TV later that evening, her husband began getting “bad anxiety.” She attempted to call to ask her kids what was in the brownies, but wasn’t able to reach them. The woman told officers that she would rather not give them her children’s names because she did not want them to get in legal trouble.

As it turned out, one of the couple’s children came to the home while the police were still there. He told officers the brownies belonged to his siblings, and that he was “pretty sure it was just marijuana in the brownies,” according to the police report.

Paramedics were called to the scene. They gave the overdose victim an exam and found his vital signs to be close to normal. They did point out he was displaying rather odd behaviors, such as crawling around on the floor, using profanities seemingly randomly and calling the inoffensive family cat a "bitch."

At one point the man told paramedics that he felt like “he’s trippin’.” They offered to take him to the hospital, but he refused the offer.

After a few more minutes, paramedics helped the wife get her husband upstairs ad into bed. The paramedics instructed the couple to just call 911 again if the man’s situation got worse.
