Tim Kaine Lashes Out At Trump - He's "Jealous" Of What Obama Accomplished

President Donald Trump has finally found a way to get the mainstream media to stop saying the word ‘Russia’ so often. The president’s decision to remove the United States from the Paris Climate Change agreement has given the mainstream media a whole new topic to obsess over. There have been an endless amount of over-the-top statements and hyperbolic stories crafted in the wake of Trump’s decision, but left-leaning journalists haven’t had the market cornered on meltdowns.

As The Hill shares, plenty of folks have stuck their two cents in, including Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA). You may recall that Kaine was Hillary Clinton’s lackluster choice for running mate, or you may not, because he didn’t really have anything all that memorable to say. Well, Kaine has plenty to say now. Trump’s decision has gotten Kaine all jazzed up, and he was sure to jump on social media to drop his version of a tweet-storm.

“Why did Trump really walk away from #ParisAgreement? He’s surrounded by science deniers and fossil fuel junkies,” read the first post.

Kaine was just getting the juices flowing, as he would save the real zinger for tweet number two.

“POTUS jealous of Obama accomplishments. But in the end, American innovative spirit is stronger than his insecurities,” read that post.

Before Trump could jump back to see if that one left a mark, Kaine was at it again. This time, it was time to get to business to share how he intended to persist, resist and whatnot.

“U.S. private sector, researchers, cities, towns and states will lead clean energy revolution despite lack of leadership from WH & President,” he wrote.

If you’re walking away saying ‘If only Kaine had shown that much of a pulse on the campaign trail…,’ you wouldn’t be alone. The above posts represent a pretty passionate response by Kaine’s standards, so we’ll assume he’ll be laying low for a while in a bid to conserve even more energy.

As for the climate change agreement itself, the president made a decision to exit a non-binding agreement that was not in the best interests of the nation.

“We don’t want other leaders and other countries laughing at us anymore, and they won’t be. I was elected to represent the citizens of Pittsburgh, not Paris,” Trump said while delivering his remarks in the White House Rose Garden.

Seems simple enough, but the reaction has been anything but that. Based on mainstream media reports, we can expect it to start hailing locusts any second now, and fiery volcanic craters opening up underneath our feet should not be all that surprising. Even former President Obama decided he had to chime in, since Trump decided to grab one of his signature pieces of work and toss it in the wastebasket.

“The nations that remain in the Paris Agreement will be the nations that reap the benefits in jobs and industries created,” a statement from Obama read in part.

Perhaps our nation will benefit more due to Trump’s decision, but we’ll patiently wait and see how that plays out without making hyperbolic statements.
