President Obama and other Democrats are obsessed with Russia’s possible interference in the presidential election because their candidate lost to Donald Trump, according to Mike Huckabee.
Fox News reported that the former Arkansas governor accused liberals of exaggerating the significance of Russian leader Vladimir Putin allegedly having coordinated the hacking of computers used by the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton campaign manager John Podesta. Instead, Huckabee argued, Democrats should face up to their own “failed” policies internationally and domestically.
“The Obama administration has just freaked out over the election,” said the ex-governor, a former contender for the Republican presidential nomination. “The reason is, they still believe everyone gets a trophy; that you can’t lose an election. Well, they lost, and they’re going to have to learn to get over it, because January 20th, Donald Trump’s going to be president, whether they like it or not.”
Huckabee ridiculed Democrats who have slammed Trump for proposing that the United States “reset” its relationship with the Russian government. He pointed out that Clinton, when she was secretary of state in 2009, called for a “fresh start” with the longtime U.S. adversary.
“Russia’s going to have to deal with a much tougher administration, one that says what it means and means what it says,” Huckabee warned.
