Hillary Clinton Slams Trump - Says He's Doing "Lasting Damage" To The Nation

If you thought that the 2016 presidential election was over months ago, you would be right on the money. However, it hasn't seemed that way over the past few days. Failed Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has managed to find herself with microphones and cameras in her face at a number of different events, and she’s still hitting the same preachy tones that led to her election downfall. Clinton is also adding some new items to her repertoire as she makes the rounds in what a number of observers have labeled as her ‘blame’ tour.

As CBS News shares, President Donald Trump is still sticking in her craw something fierce. Those walks in the woods of Chappaqua didn’t do too much to make her feel better, so she’s decided to try venting in front of the masses as an outlet. She appeared at a book industry conference in New York on Thursday, and she informed the assembled crowd that Trump was responsible for all the hate out there.

"That is incredibly dangerous. That is unleashing a level of vitriol, and defensiveness, hatred, that I don't think we should tolerate," she said.

Sounds like the assessment of an awfully bitter and jaded person, but Clinton assured the crowd that all was well in her world.

"I'm fine as a person, but I'm worried as an American," she added.

Okay, then. That’s fair enough, but if she’s so fine as a person, why is she parading herself around to offer up a litany of excuses as to why she completely blew the election? Why is she feeling the need to throw so many people under the bus while doing so? Why is she spouting off bizarre conspiracy theories about agents in Macedonia that somehow convinced American voters to select Trump instead? Many questions remain unanswered, but we won’t hold our breath waiting for Clinton to provide some real answers.

If you really read between the lines of all of Clinton’s various desperate cries for attention, you may find that what she’s saying - in essence - is downright insulting to a good portion of the general electorate. In Clinton’s mind, voters are simply so stupid that they can be influenced into making a decision they really didn’t want to make. That’s the gist of what she’s saying, as she simply can’t comprehend the number of facts that point out why she lost.

In a nutshell, Clinton didn’t have a message to share with the voters outside of the fact that she felt entitled to the throne. Her lavish, celebrity-filled events were incredibly off-putting to the average voter, and her campaign braintrust dropped the ball in terms of overall strategy and messaging.

Despite those obvious reasons, Clinton continues to insist that she was somehow railroaded by a host of circumstances beyond her control. Reality tells a very different tale, but being able to see that clearly has never existed in Clinton’s wheelhouse. Perhaps some additional walks in the woods are in order so she can place things in proper perspective.
