All 600 People Arrested by Authorities Across 11 States Have This One Chilling Thing In Common

The New York Times has recently released reports that the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement has made over 600 arrests in the past week. Many people view illegal aliens as criminals who are breaking the law and deserve to be put behind bars or deported to their home countries. National security was one of the central elements throughout the 2016 Presidential Election.

Over the past seven days, federal officials have made over 600 arrests in 11 states, detaining over 40 people in the New York City area, according to statements made by law enforcement officials on Sunday. As of now, it remains unclear as to whether or not ICE agents were continuing operations to round up illegal immigrants who have been convicted of criminal offenses or if their actions were an escalation of deportations by the Trump administration.

Early Sunday morning, President Trump tweeted out the following: “The crackdown on illegal criminals is merely the keeping of my campaign promise. Gang members, drug dealers & others are being removed!”

Gillian Christensen, the acting press secretary for the Department of Homeland Security, made the following statement: “The focus of these targeted enforcement operations is consistent with the routine, targeted arrests carried out by ICE’s Fugitive Operations Teams on a daily basis.”

Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced the New York operation as national plans approximately one week ago. New York was apparently “late to the game.” Arrests were not impromptu and were planned around the particular individuals’ routine plans. A fuller account is said to be available on Monday. Officials have stated that all persons placed under arrest are in violation of immigration laws. Some of their convictions are classified as rape and aggravated assault.

The Political Insider has noted the bias of those who are against illegal immigration round ups. It is their belief that the New York Times wishes for citizens to believe that the Trump Administration is purposefully rounding up everyday, average persons. However, the people taken into custody are reported as hardcore criminals who were very comfortable with violating the law under the Presidency of Barack Obama.
