It seems like there’s a use for everything in today’s DIY culture, and sometimes the thing that there’s a new use for is something you’ve been mindlessly throwing away for years. This one definitely fits into that category, and once you stop furrowing your brow, you’re going to want to try it out for yourself.
As shared by AWM, it turns out we haven’t been getting all the uses we can out of store-bought eggs. In fact, there’s a way to use the whole entire thing - shells included! Turns out that the shells can actually be consumed too, with the caveat that they need to be prepared carefully.
Egg shells are actually chock full of calcium, so you knew it would just be a matter of time before someone figured out how to extract. Before you go ahead and munch down on a big plate of shells while thinking you’re ahead of the curve, you’ll want to check out the detailed instructions on how to prepare them correctly.
In short, once the shells are carefully prepared according to instructions, they can be ground down into a powder via a food processor. From that point, you can craft yourself an egg shell cocktail or smoothie, or even use the powder to mix in with things such as oatmeal or yogurt.
